Living in the state of Colorado, we know it’s one of the most beautiful places in America! So for Earth Day, it’s a perfect opportunity to explore our area and find appreciation for the natural wonders we get to live so close to—including Garden of the Gods.
Founded in 1909, Garden of the Gods has been an important part of this community for over 100 years. It attracts over two million visitors a year from around the world, and locals love to explore the beloved park. There are more than 15 miles of trails located in Garden of the Gods that are perfect for biking and hiking, etc.
Earth Day Celebration at Garden of the Gods
This park will be the perfect place to enjoy all that our region has to offer! Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center (along with the historic Rock Ledge Ranch) will be hosting an Earth Day celebration from 9am-3pm on April 21st that will feature a variety of fun family-friendly educational activities.
Outdoor Activities in Garden of the Gods
If you’re not into organized Earth Day celebrations, then there are so many other things that you can do in Garden of the Gods. How about an amazing horse ride through Garden of the Gods that brings you a sense of adventure and beauty? Academy Riding Stables is the only horse back riding company that offers tours into Garden of the Gods, so this would be a unique opportunity.
You can also go do guided rock climbing tours, Jeep and Segway tours, and bike tours! So there’s a way to enjoy the beautiful scenery no matter what kind of activity sounds fun to you or your family
