There’s something about walking through a brand-new home that makes you want to grab a paintbrush, rearrange your entire house, and start a new Pinterest board immediately. 

But if you’re touring the Parade of Homes, don’t just look at the pretty countertops and gorgeous light fixtures.

Look at the home like a buyer.

Here are a few things I always recommend paying attention to:

 How does the home actually live? Is the floor plan functional for real life, or does it just look great in photos?

How is it possible that we’re already talking about fall?!

Before we trade summer evenings for cozy nights and cooler temperatures, there are a few things around the house worth checking off your list.

Think furnace, gutters, windows, doors, and outdoor spaces before that first serious Colorado cold snap decides to show up uninvited.
