Fall in Colorado Springs has a way of making you want to slow down just a little.

The mornings get crisp, the mountains start showing off their golden colors, and suddenly everyone is reaching for sweaters, pumpkin everything, and an excuse to spend a little more time outside.

As someone who lives and works in Colorado Springs, fall is one of my favorite seasons to experience this city.

Lets talk outdoors...

Fall is arguably one of the best times to explore Colorado Springs. The cooler temperatures make hiking, walking, and exploring our parks much more enjoyable and the changing scenery. Try googling pictures! Breathtaking!

Take a drive through the foothills, find a favorite trail, or simply carve out an afternoon to enjoy the views. Sometimes the best fall activity is the one that doesn't require much planning at all.

Local Fall Fun

Fall is also a great time to take advantage of the events happening throughout Colorado Springs and the surrounding area.

From pumpkin patches and fall festivals to farmers markets, family activities, seasonal treats, and community events, there’s usually something happening for every age.

And one of my favorite things about living in Colorado Springs is that you don't always have to spend a lot of money to have a great weekend. Some of the best memories can come from simply getting outside and enjoying the season together.

Fall is also a reminder to enjoy home.

Light a candle. Make something warm. Invite friends over. Put on your favorite playlist and enjoy an evening without a packed schedule.

Take a drive through areas you're considering. Stop for coffee. Visit a local park. Look at the surrounding homes and get a feel for how each neighborhood changes as the seasons do.

So, whether you're already a Colorado Springs local or considering making the move here, I hope you take a little time this fall to enjoy everything our community has to offer.
